Most FORCE LABS innovation projects and incubation initiatives require an independent contractor agreement under a 1099 employment agreement to ensure your benefits for your contributions are negotiated appropriately with sponsors. In some cases, projects may provide wages and in other cases they may provide incentives or equity sharing outcomes. The 1099 agreement with the Lab also kicks off the background check. FFORCE LABS may also sponsor or harbor government clearances for specific projects.
You do not need to be a member to have a 1099 employment relationship with FORCE LABS. This employment relationship with Force Labs is separate from membership and considered optional to members, although, opting out may exclude you from certain innovation projects and incubation initiatives.
